In Zaporizhzhya National University was handing traditional "Certificate on completion of training at the Preparatory Department". This year, nearly 500 entrants - schools graduates of the city and region - during the school year preparing for entrance to higher educational institutions on the basis of our university.
The Preparatory Department of our university has acted since the days of Zaporizhzhya State Pedagogical Institute and enjoys continued popularity among entrants. This time, as in previous years, qualified teachers prepare prospective students for entering all specialties. Traditionally, the most popular among high school students such specialties as "Law", "English", "Translation (English)", "Psychology", "Journalism", "Biology" and "Tourism".
Festive event preceding intense and thorough training of students of the Preparatory Department during the school year, and final certification in May, which was held in the form of tests of the three subjects that entrants have studied during the school year. It is obligatory test in Ukrainian language and literature. Entrants who have studied at natural and mathematical and technical specializations during the entrance campaign on the results of final certification will receive additional points, which are listed in the "Appendix to the Certificate." All other 
graduates of the Preparatory Department receive "preferential right" to enroll in our university. Although these exemptions apply only to entrants to our university, among the visitors training courses were high school students who are going to join other universities. They chose to study training courses of ZNU for improving knowledge and psychological adaptation to study in higher educational institutions.
Classes at the Preparatory Department continues until May 31, and already June 3 for graduates are waiting the main session of the EIT, which, by the way, will be held on the basis of our university.
Head of the Preparatory Department Iryna Bakalenko told about the results of the academic year: «This year at the Preparatory Department traditionally held in intense training. Our students consistently preparing for the state final certification in school and EIT. They systematized and summarized knowledge gained during study at school, improved skills in solving tests, the participants were free trial training, conducted by our university, and participants testing testing materials Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment. We hope that all this will contribute to the successful passage of the state final certification in school and external assessment. Everyone who finishes in school learning, we wish to get high scores on EIT! We welcome graduates of the Preparatory Department September 1, 2014 already as students of Zaporizhzhya National University».
