Students of ELC visited publishing house of Zaporizhzhya National University

Recently, within the framework of educational practice group of future journalists and publishers visited ZNU Publishing House. Students talked with the director of the publishing house Yevhen Tkachenko, who answered their questions, and reviewed the specifics of the structure.

After the final year examinations, 1st year students of ELC specialty "Publishing and Editing" began educational practice. As a part of the practical trainings students visited a number of publishers, printers, met with reporters and editors of Zaporizhzhya periodicals. Thus, during excursion of ZNU publishing house, they learned that teachers and students have the opportunity to publish their research papers in the walls of native university. Actually publishing house of the university, according to Yevhen Tkachenko, publishes scientific monographs as well as fiction. The staff of the Department quite small, but all the work is done efficiently and on time.
Yevhen Tkachenko also described to students in details about the manufacturing process, creation of books, making the cover and binding of publications, principles of risograph, laser printer, cutter and so on. In addition, director answered the question of future specialists concerning the publishing industry.
Thus, students of the group K 33-13 have learned a lot of useful and interesting facts about their future profession. At the end of excursion they thanked Yevhen Tkachenko and the staff of ZNU publishing house for the interesting lecture. In addition, they performed their own creative task of editing, which they offered to the editor of the Publishing Department.
