Within the framework of his visit to the Faculty was held a roundtable discussion on "The current economic and political situation in Ukraine in terms of the US and the international community".
At the beginning of the event to those present with a welcoming speech addressed Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, D.Sc. in Philology, Professor Volodymyr Manakin. He introduced the guest of honor and called for students of Faculties of Journalism and of Management, who made their way to a meeting, ask as many questions as possible, becausr it is a great opportunity to know a foreign guest's opinion about events in Ukraine and American community attitudes towards them. In addition, the meeting was held in English, so students get the opportunity to test their level of proficiency in it.
Professor Gregory Gardner in his speech said that the US and the international community empathizes with Ukrainian people. News about the events in Ukraine today can see or hear in all American media. Previously, citizens of America did not know about our country almost nothing, but now they are worried about the future of our country.
Also, according to the Professor, if Ukraine will overcome the crisis, reform all spheres of society, fight corruption, solve political conflicts, then it will become economically strong country with favorable international connections. After all, our country has all the necessary resources, has a favorable geopolitical and economic and geographical position on the world map.
Volodymyr Manakin at the end of the event thanked the guest for his visit and the students put all the questions that troubled them.
