Within the framework of one and half month of the tour presentation of the new book "Life of Mary" in Zaporizhzhya visited the famous writer, translator and an essayist Serhei Zhadan. During a meeting with students and teachers of ZNU and especially of the Faculty of Philology – organizer of the meeting, – and guests of the event Serhii Viktorovych not only talked about features of creation and composition poetry collection, revealed his creative vision, but also answered on different questions. Guest shared his vision of the situation now in the East of Ukraine and also outlined possible ways of development of national culture.
At the beginning of the event Serhei Zhadan presented the book "Life of Mary" – new poetry collection, which includes 80 works. In addition a kind of lyrical documentary of diary, which also reflect the events of 2012-2014 years. also includes 20 works by famous Polish artist Cheslav Milosh from the series "Voices of the poor people", which refers to the events in Prague in the 1943-45 years.
The second part of the meeting was a casual dialogue of the artist and the audience.
At the end of the event all interested persons have an opportunity to buy a new book by Serhii Viktorovych and get an autograph writer. In addition, for the visit of Serhei Zhadan employees of the Scientific Library of ZNU under the guidance of Head Valentyna Herasymova prepared thematic book exhibition dedicated to the writer. It includes his books of poetry published in the press, essays, interviews with artists and others. Guest thanked the staff of the library for such interesting and full book exposure.
