Within a framework in cooperation between Zaporizhzhya National University and the Ukrainian public organization "All Ukrainian Federation" Spas" on the basis of faculties of Physical Education and law for several years are functionate scientific and educational structures which occured sporting, scientific and patriotic events continued research and educational work on this subject. Thus, today there was necessity of creation a coordinating center for improving joint groundworks, promoting interaction of some direction activities and promote development interdisciplinary directions in scientific and research work, complex approach to the study of Cossack martial arts and realization of corresponding needs in educational sphere.
At the meeting of the Academic Council of ZNU, which held on the 30rd of March and was approved the concept of the Academy " Spas". According to this, within the framework of the public educational institution will be implemented a scientific research of the national martial art " Spas" , realization of projects with study of military legacy of the Ukrainian people, monitoring state of of scientific research and scientific developments in the field of martial arts in the world, scientific conferences and other events, including international, for aprobation the results of research, holding of a competitive tenders 
scientific works and developments in the field of martial arts between young people and professionals, holdiing competitions and other honorary national martial arts adherents and implementation results of scientific research in educational and patriotic educational work in particular in the section of the national trainer of martial arts " Spas" and retraining (or continuing professional development ) coaching and teaching staff at the Faculty of Physical Education of ZNU.
