On September 23 at the Law Faculty was held seminar colloquium on "Problems and Prospects of Legislation Development in the Direction of Power Decentralization and Reform of Local Government", organized by the 2nd year students of the Faculty of Law supported by Dean of the Faculty of Law, LL.D., Professor Tetiana Kolomoiets and Head of the Laboratory Involving Rulemaking and Enforcement Maryna Shyvanova, and Ph.D. in Law, lecturer of Constitutional and Labor Law Department Natali Verlos.
During the seminar-colloquium raised topical issues of reforming all spheres of public life against the backdrop of constitutional modernization, involving the decentralization of public power and search for the optimal model of local government perspective and properly updated institutional forms of local government.
The participants concluded that a very urgent problem today is the issue of voluntary association of communities that affects all rural population and finds expression in radically opposite directions as from full acceptance to clear unwillingness of the population to participate in the reform process.
