Renewed Exposition Of ZNU Museum Opened

The renewed exposition of the university museum was opened within the celebrations of ZNU’s 75th anniversary. Vice-Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhaylo STEPKO, Rector of ZNU Sergiy TYMCHENKO and Assistant Rector on Public Relations Iryna GERMAN took part in the ceremony.

Mykhaylo Stepko remembered the year 1985, when he was present at changing the status of our higher-education establishment. He also stressed on high responsibility ZNU administration has, because the development of Zaporizhzhya National University is the task of every member of university staff. ZNU has to meet highest standards. Surely, our university is rather young if compared to old European university, founded in XVI century. Nevertheless, we are to value our cultural heritage, remember its names and traditions. Mykhaylo Stepko wished our university to open new buildings, hospices, electronic libraries.

Museum exposition starts time reckoning from Oleksandrivs’k foundation and presents step by step inner sense and importance of those times, their unique mental colouring. There are many original exhibits in the museum – the inventory of property surrender during the occupation, flags, photo-albums and even old seal.
