In Zaporizhzhya national university passed the regular session of Scientific Council.
It was begun with greetings – the Rector, professor Sergij Timchenko informed about the regular achievement of the students of our university: students of the faculty of SPP won in the International contest of reciters: Kristina Nalivaiko took the first place, Alina Mamotenko got the prize of the competition.
The scientific secretary of Scientific Council Vitalij Snezhko reported on the first question of the agenda «Affirming the plan of work of Scientific Council of ZNU for 2007-2008». Also during the session were considered staff questions. With the report «About results of work of Entrance comission concerning admission of students for 2007/2008 educative year and prospects of its future work» the responsible secretary of the Entrance comission, associate professor Viktor Tkachenko spoke.

The regular session of the political club of Zaporizhzhya national university was visited by the former deputy of Parliament, lecturer, scientist and simply interesting man Mikhailo Sirota.
Representing the guest to the auditorium, the Rector of the University, professor Sergij Timchenko said that he could be named one of «fathers» of Constitution of Ukraine - he headed the final constitutional commission and on June 28, 1996, agreeing the final amendments to it, spend before the tribune of he Supreme rada 16 hours.
The main topic of the session of the political club became presentation of the book of Mikhailo Sirota “Ukraine in geopolitical space of the third millennium”.
