
The representatives of the Faculty of Economics took part in the III Scientific Symposium "Ukraine-Poland – synergetic cooperation", which was held during February 13-17 in three Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Poltava and Slavyansk. Zaporizhzhya National University was one of its organizers.
The main goal of the Symposium, as it was defined by the organizers of the event, – the development of scientific discourse. Therefore, during the meeting the participants discussed such topics as: the recognition of academic education and equivalence of academic degrees, dual and distance education, double diplomas, opportunity for Ukrainian students to study in Poland, as well as education for regional labour markets. Besides, during the discussion they talked about the development of small and medium enterprises in the Polish-Ukrainian sphere of self-administration. Also there was mentioned that the Polish-Ukrainian energy security, among other things, the construction of energy corridors, the development of alternative energy sources.
The representatives of Zaporizhzhya National University were also actively involved in the organization of the Symposium. So, the Head of the Department of Accounting and Audit of the Faculty of Economics, Professor Nadiya Shmyhol became part of the Scientific Committee, and represented the ZNU in the delegation from Zaporizhzhya. Zaporizhzhya delegation took an active part in the discussion of the ways of using alternative sources of energy, Polish-Ukrainian energy security, the problems of implementation of distance education, double diplomas and mutual recognition of diplomas by the Polish and Ukrainian universities.
In addition, Zaporizhzhya delegation had the opportunity to meet with the Deputy of the Sejm Bożena Kamińska and discuss the ways of further cooperation between our countries in the academic and economic fields.
