English-language workshop on psychological techniques of vocational guidance held at Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology

Yesterday, on the twenty-ninth of March, at the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology was held an English workshop on the topic: «Technique Of Psychologists’ Work Who Is Engaged In Professional Orientation Activity» . The event was carried out in the framework of the students scientific group’s work "Psychotherapy in the English-speaking World" and with the participation of the scientific society of students and postgraduates of the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology under scientific supervision of an Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology Olga Ishchuk.

In the beginning of the event the Deputy Dean for Career Guidance Olena Leshchenko noted the relevance of this work for the University and the faculty in particular. At the workshop the students Natalya Kozyura and Alla Mitina presented their vocational program for pupils, prospective students, which consisted of a set of classes of different methodological content. The program is called "Art of Being Professional". Alina Hrytsenko and Anastasiya Semibratova presented their own interactive game "Travel to the country of professions". Everyone interested joined the game testing and the practice of English phrases regarding the different professional fields. At the end of the event Daria Yurchenko conducted in English a psychological test "The anchor of career" developed by Edgar Schein.

The organizers of the event assessed the workshop as a very fruitful. According to them, the participants demonstrated a high level of their professional orientation and communicative skills in English. The lecturers and students who took part in conducting master-class expressed gratitude for the support of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology, Associate Professor Olga Ponomarenko and the Head of the Department of Psychology, Associate Professor Natalya Huba. They also thanked all the participants for their contribution and invited to join the activities of the English-speaking students’ scientific group "Psychotherapy in the English-speaking World".
