On April 7, law students – members of the Zaporizhzhya branch of the Center for German Law – attended a presentation of the scholarship programs organized by the staff of the ZNU Department of International Relations. Such events, with the opportunity for students to raise their level of knowledge of foreign languages and to acquire professional competences, are an important component of the implementation of the concept of academic mobility in our University. The Head of the Department of International Relations Natalya Kostenko and the guest of the event – a regional coordinator of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andriy Honcharuk told the participants about the work experience internship in Germany for students of ZNU.

The representatives of the Department of International Relations and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly organized a scholarship program «Stipendenprogramm der Deutschen Wirtschaftfur die Ukraine». During the event, there was talk about the possibilities of internships at the enterprises of Germany, companies that agreed to provide students with the opportunity to undertake an internship, in particular, such famous companies as «Deutsch Bank», «MetroA.G», «SAP», «BOSCH» and others.

The scholarship programs last on average 4 months, the scholarship is on average 600 euros per month, including accommodation. Germany is a country of the European Union, which has the lowest unemployment rate, so there is a possibility to organize production practice for Ukrainian students. According to Andriy Honcharuk, law students also have the opportunity to undertake an internship in Germany. But an important condition is the required level of proficiency in German (in some companies English) and a high level of professional knowledge. By the way, the knowledge of the administrative, economic and agrarian law is especially in demand.

According to the participant of the Zaporizhzhya branch of the Center for German Law, law student Valentyna Kryvonis, «such information is an additional motivation for learning the German language of professional direction, comparison of the legal regulations of Germany and Ukraine, deeper study of different branches of law in general. Such programs give the opportunity for students to grow professionally and adopt the best practices of the leading world companies’ staff».
