The representatives of Zaporizhzhya National University joined the organization and holding of the "International Forum Zaporizhzhya-2017", a large-scale international scientific and practical event, which will be held on the basis of the "Cossack-Palace" Exhibition Centre on May 30 - June 1. The representatives of the governmental structures and diplomatic corps, people's deputies of Ukraine, city and region leaders, leading national enterprises and scientific and educational institutions will take part in the forum. Among them there are representatives of the administration and scientists of the Faculty of Biology of ZNU.
The solemn opening of the forum will be held on May 30 at 10.00 in the "Cossack-Palace" Exhibition Centre. Within the framework of the Eco-Forum, there will operate thematic exhibition, conferences, seminars, presentations and master classes.
During the forum, its participants will discuss such important issues as reformation of the environmental management system and state environmental monitoring, air protection, technology and equipment for protecting air from polluting substances by stationary and mobile sources, and water resources protection. It is planned to consider the problems of the system of control and monitoring of the environment, recycling of industrial and household wastes, to find out their energy potential, to discuss energy saving technologies and energy efficiency.
According to the member of the organizing committee of the event, the Vice-Rector for Research Hennadii Vasylchuk, the university scientists will take an active part in the work of the forum. The exhibition will include two scientific stands devoted to the important environmental issues that were created by scientists of the Faculty of Biology under the direction of the Associate Professor Kostiantyn Dombrovskyi. In addition, during the conference, which will be held in the framework of the "Eco-forum", Professor of ZNU Oleksandr Rylskyi will make a report on the problems of water purification from oil pollution. The representatives of the Faculty of Law under the leadership of the Dean, Professor Tetiana Kolomoiets,will also take part in the forum. During the event they will present the legal aspect of the concept of environmental measures in the context of national legislative process. Besides, the forum will be joined by the representatives of the scientific school "Green Economy", which operates on the basis of the Faculty of Economics of our university.
