The Faculty of Economics of Zaporizhzhia national University held a traditional event of convocation ceremony of first-year students-economists. This year, guests from the city of Katowice (Poland) - Doctor of Science, Professor of the University of Silesia Dobroslava Venzhovich-Zhelkovska and Dorota Foch, joined the celebrations that took place on the island of Khortytsia at the recreation center of ZNU, as well as the chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Society of Polish Culture by A. Mickiewicz, Olha Pavliuk.

The guests have participated in numerous contests and competitions, which deeply connect the freshmen.

Mrs. Wenzhovich-Zhelkowska and Fokh were very impressed by the words of the oath of economists, which lays the basic principles of the profession and contains the universal principles of man's co-existence of economic and nature.

Polish colleagues had the speeches in front of students.  They talked about the role of a specialist in the development of the country's economy, about knowledge, and skills that need to be developed.

The guests also spoke about the Polish reforms in the economy, which led to the current state of the country's socio-economic well-being.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics Alla Cherep and first-year students together with the student council invited Polish guests to visit our university in subsequent visits to Zaporizhzhia. Moreover, foreign colleagues expressed their intentions for academic and scientific cooperation, because our educational institutions have close friendly relations in the European educational space.
