This year our city celebrates its 238-th birthday, although some investigations prove, that first references about it can be found in old manuscripts. The Day of City is celebrated on party of Pokrov of Saint Virgin. That is why conduction of Pokrovsky fair has already become traditional.
This time guests from Odessa, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivs’k, Kherson, Ternopil participated in the Fair. Students from ZNU took part in the party as well - future journalists told jocular poems and sang the song, dedicated to the mayor of the city Evgen Kartashov, Katerina Gopenko with its band sang too. Guests of the fair had an opportunity to take part in different contests, to dance to the holiday music, to buy products from different areas of the region and simply eat tastily in one of numerous cafes.
