Zaporizhzhya literature: a myth or reality?

11.11.2008 10:48

Young writers of Zaporizhzhya made up their minds to prove the inhabitants of the city, that the literary life in our region not only exists, but develops quickly and has reached a qualitatively new level. To prove it members of Folk-Literary studio of Students’ center of culture and those of the Literary club «99» originated conducting open round tables, where various aspects of modern literary life of our city are discussed.

Recently such round tables have been conducted: “Zaporizhzhya: the literary province or literary provincialism” (the moderator was the member of the Club «99» Juriy Ganoshenko, “Forms and borders of “Zaporizhzhya exotics” in literature” (Oles’ Barlig), “Zaporizhzhya.lіvejournal.сom” (Maxim Shcherbina), “Theme of taboo for Zaporizhzhya writers”, “Fantastic literature in Zaporizhzhya: bloom or stagnation?” (Tala Vladmirova). Next year the Literary club «99» would celebrate its 10-th anniversary.
