One more discussion of independence of our mass media

Zaporizhzhya and Kyiv journalists gathered once more in walls of ZNU in order to discuss problems independence of our mass media and ordered materials. That time they also offered ways of solution of those problems.

On November, 14 the faculty of journalism of ZNU organized the round table “Self-organization of journalists and independence of regional mass media”. Its organizers were the Centre of media reforms (Kyiv) and the Fund of Friedrich Ebert. Not only Zaporizhzhya journalists, but also representatives of mass media and their organizations, experts from other cities took part in the meeting and discussed opportunity of mass media independence. All the present came to the conclusion that today it is out of the question to speak it, because there is a real pressure on behalf of editors and owners of mass media and ordered materials is one of the most essential articles of funding. One of possible ways of solving the problem is creation of powerful trade-unions.
