The volleyball team «Orbita-ZNU» got an honorable second place in the final match of the Ukrainian Cup. Semi-final matches were held on February 22. Zaporizhzhia «Orbita-ZNU» and «Halychanka-TNEU-HADZ» from Ternopil met in the first semi-final according to the results of the draw.
«Orbita-ZNU» successfully used the home-court advantage and defeated «Halychanka» with a score 3: 0. The Ternopil team managed to create intrigue only in the third set. But in the middle of the game, «Orbita» equalized, and gained the lead again with the score 24:20. It seemed everything had already been decided, but Oleksandra Milenko went onto the field and gave the fans of «Halychanka» hope for victory in the third set, the score became 24:24. Her teammate Inna Denina also tried to make successful attacks, but the time-out and help from the experienced Volodymyr Buzaiev did their job and as a result the score changed into 29:27 and 3: 0 in the match. The most productive volleyball player became the attacker of «Orbita» Viktoriia Savchenko. She has 19 points.
On February 23, «Orbita-ZNU» team did not yield to pressure of an opponent and owing to this they got the deserved bronze of the Cup of Ukraine.
