
There was a training seminar on the topic "Education is endless adventure” in the framework of the Days of Ukrainian-Polish culture, science and education "Pod jednym niebem" and the Days of Europe-2019 "Ukraine - Poland - Slovakia" which take place from May 1 to June 23. The event for the Zaporizhzhia public, which is interested in learning the Polish language and culture, was held by the representative of the Unit for the Development of Polish Education Abroad (Warsaw) Eva Ploska.
The event was coordinated by the Head of the Department of Slavic Philology of ZNU, Professor Iryna Pavlenko and Director of the Center of Polish language and culture by John III Sobieski of ZNU Hanna Makushynska. Professors, students, undergraduates of our and other higher educational institutions, as well as applicants came to the meeting. In particular, there were representatives of the Faculties of Philology and Journalism, the Engineering Institute of ZNU, Enerhodar Youth Club of Polish Culture by Henryk Sienkiewicz and Zaporizhzhia special boarding school "Svitanok".
During the training, the participants were presented a number of interesting educational, scientific and cultural events, which will soon be held in Zaporizhzhia. Among them, on 18 May, the Polish Cinema Club will present the film by the famous director Giacomo Battiato “Karol, un uomo diventato Papa” (The ConCathedral of God Father Merciful at 7pm). There also will be a round table “The Cossack King” John III Sobieski on May 28 and “Zaporizhzhia: past and present” with the participation of the Senator of the Republic of Poland, representatives of the National Reserve" Khortytsia", the Center of Polish language and culture by John III Sobieski of Engineering Institute of ZNU (Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration at 11am). Round table meeting “ZNU - Ukraine - Europe: opportunities and prospects for integration into a single educational space”, trainings for heads of secondary schools, professors, psychologists (Engineering Institute of ZNU at 11am) and others will take place on May 31.
During the event, Mrs. Eva invited the present to introduce themselves in Polish and began a conversation about the essence of the educational process. At the same time, she pointed out three inalienable components of it - the teacher, the student, and emotions, stressing the important role of the latter in the process of communication and memorization. Later, she proposed various forms of work for the participants, among which were workshops on reading and pronouncing Polish tongue twisters, Q&A, listening to songs in Polish, etc. Also, participants watched a short film about Poland, its nature and economy.
All participants of the training noted that the event helped them to improve previously acquired knowledge and language skills. At the end of the meeting, they received the appropriate certificates.
