Associate Professor of the Department of Metallurgy of the Engineering Institute of ZNU Oleksandr Kharchenko is the participant of the International conference of the ESTAD-2019 in Düsseldorf
Technical conference METEC & 4th ESTAD 2019 (European Steel Technology and Application Days) has taken place in the city of Düsseldorf (Germany) on the grounds of the Messe Düsseldorf Exhibition. It covers all areas of technological processes of metallurgy. It is a leading technical forum of the European steel industry, which focuses on steel production, where the best metallurgy experts of the world gather to exchange ideas and experiences.
This year the exhibition was visited by almost 80,000 visitors, and its members became 2370 companies from 57 countries. Ukraine was represented by 12 participants, including Zaporizhzhia National University, which was presented on this forum by candidate of technical sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Metallurgy of the Engineering Institute of ZNU Oleksandr Kharchenko. Oleksandr Kharchenko is the winner of D.K. Chernov prestigious scientific award for his significant contribution to the theory and practice of producing high quality steel products. He passed scientific training for 1990 at the University Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
Since 1994 he is member of international professional organizations "ASM International” and “ASM Heat Treating Society".
According to Oleksandr Viktorovych, among members of this scientific meet
ing were about 600 scientists, researchers, practitioners from around the world. The issues of converter and electric furnace steelmaking, secondary metallurgy steel processing, rolling, continuous spill steel and other similar problems were discussed in the section of the converter production in which Oleksandr Kharchenko took part. Our experienced colleague spoke English with the report "The Efficient Control of the BOF Process Under Conditions of Permanent Changing of Technological Parameters".
We hope that current and future participation of Zaporizhzhia National University in international congresses will contribute to the development of industrial complex of Ukraine.
