Beach Volleyball Cup of Ukraine has been held in Kharkiv. 32 pairs competed for the awards in the male section. Among them is a graduate of Zaporizhzhia National University, Serhii Popov, together with Yaroslav Hordieiev.
There were two Zaporizhzhia duos during the competition in the semifinals - Serhii Popov/Yaroslav Hordieiev and Denys Denysenko/Vladyslav Yemelianchyk. With the score 2: 1 (21:18, 12:21, 15: 9) Popov / Hordieiev won. And Denysenko/Yemelianchyk fought for the "bronze" and got it, taking over the pair Poluian/Pavliuk 2: 1 (21:17, 16:21, 15:12).
Popov/Hordieiev in the final won Plotnytskyi/Kovalov (Khmelnytskyi/Rivne) 2: 0 (21:12, 21:11) and became the winners of the Ukrainian Cup.
