At Zaporizhia National University, at the Philology Department, every year on Easter week, the Department of Ukrainian Studies led by its head Olga Stadnichenko organize the master class of painting Easter eggs. “Easter eggs’ shine” for students, professors, employees of the University. This year, in the context of quarantine, this studio was virtual. We will remind that every year, during this studio of painting Easter eggs, anybody who wants have the possibility to create their own Easter egg – charm, know about the symbolic of Easter egg, the meaning of colors, the history of painting Easter eggs in Ukraine, and also about many traditions which associated with Easter egg. This master class is held by the master of folk art, the professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies Olena Schulga. Every time more than 100 visitors of the master class are introduced to the unique work of Ukrainian art.
The head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies Olga Stadnichenko expresses her hope that the future candidates, just before next Easter, will be the most active participants of our studio and will join to the creation of Easter’s charm.
