ZNU participated in the partners meeting of the "MultiEd Erasmus+ KA2" project on multilingual education
Representatives of Zaporizhzhia National University - vice-rector for research Gennadiy Vasylchuk, deputy dean for academic work of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Kateryna Vasylyna and head of the Department of Theory and Practice of English Translation Svitlana Zapolskykh - took part in the partners meeting of the project "MultiEd Erasmus+ KA2 " Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration". The event took place at the Ternopil National Pedagogical University.
The purpose of the meeting was monitoring the quality of project implementation, as well as summarizing its results. During the event, it was stressed out that the "MultiEd Erasmus+" project began during the global pandemic, and its implementation continued during the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. The project partners met together to discuss peculiarities of its implementation under difficult conditions. They paid special attention to dissemination of the project’s intellectual results, as well as its management and financial reporting. Among other things, on August 17, in an online format the participants met with the head of the Erasmus+ office in Ukraine Svitlana Shytikova, and discussed the project’s key points.
Gennadiy Vasylchuk, as the project coordinator from ZNU, actively participated in the discussions of important aspects of its implementation. He noted the project’s importance for training highly qualified modern specialists - foreign language teachers. He outlined the achievements of the Zaporizhzhia National University, which fruitfully cooperates with general educational institutions of secondary education in this direction. He also shared the prospects of the university's activities for the future. The vice-rector thanked the organizers and partners of the project for the opportunity for representatives of the Faculty of Foreign Philology and the administration of ZNU to participate in it and expressed hope for further active cooperation.
