On December 13, 2023 the Erasmus+ eRead project teams met online to have a detailed discussion of the BA Module “Teaching reading digitally” that is one of the project targets. ZNU team was represented by M. Zaluzhna, N. Venherska, N. Nadtochii, I. Bakalenko and O. Stadnichenko.

The partners discussed the module outline, specified together the module objectives, approaches and principles, formats and methods of instruction suggested for the module realization within the courses of Methods of Teaching Languages and Modern Didactic Teaching Tools.

In the process of discussion it was agreed that the module will be based on communicative approach, its design will aim at content and skills development in experiential learning circle, in the process of implementation it will employ a number of interactive methods to engage the students. The conversation also touched upon the framework of topics and expected learning outcomes, clarified the wording of the four proposed topics and their outlines.

The colleagues also considered the relevant materials and useful experiences worth incorporating into the BA module content. The exchange of national teams' experience in teaching reading and applying digital tools, as well as the latest publications analysed previously within the project came in handy, as they contributed not only to the unification of the general vision of what and how to teach, but also ensured the chosen topics and methods' relevance and timeliness. The glossary of terms compiled by the partners will provide the key concepts to operate for both teachers and students.

The partners decided to continue their collaborative work on the module, with a special focus on the content details as well as useful tools and resources to apply for each topic.
