The Rector of Zaporizhzhia National University Galina Shilo, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science, Denis Morozov, and Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism, Tetiana Rohova, are currently in Estonia as part of the project ‘Boosting Digital Excellence and Aptitude of Universities in the Countries of the Eastern Partnership’.

Zaporizhzhia National University is the national coordinator of the project in Ukraine. Maryna Zaluzhna, Associate Professor at the Department of English Philology and Linguodidactics ZNU’s manager, joined the kick-off meeting online, noting that this was a great opportunity to establish partnerships with European universities and work on the digitalisation of the educational process. The project is coordinated by Oleksandra Golovko, PhD in Philology (University of Tartu, Estonia).

Over the course of the week, there will be meetings with various departments at the University of Tartu and Tallinn University; visits to schools and kindergartens, during which participants will be able to learn about the Estonian education system; and visits to e-Estonia and the AHHAA research centre are also planned. The aim of the project is to enhance the professional digital competences of future pre-school, school and university teachers by creating new training courses; and to incorporate the experience and best practices of European universities into the development of educational components. You can find out more about the project on the official website by clicking here.
