Internship and New Impressions at Ternopil

28.09.2010 13:06

The Philological Department's sophomores majoring in Ukrainian and Russian Studies reported about their folklore internship, which had had place at Ternopil region last summer.

It wasn't accidental that students went to the Ternopil Oblast, since there are three ethnographic regions there: Volyn, Podillya, and Galytchyna. The students could compare the culture of the Western and Eastern Ukraine, to communicate with old people who told them much interesting folklore material.
The group of 10 students leaded by teachers of Ukrainian literature Valentyna Kravtchenko (internship supervisor), Oxana Sichkar, and Yuliya Kushneryuk, and the head of the Khmelnitsky Oblast Club of Compatriots Valentyna Liphantiy visited Ternopil, Pochaiv, Shums’k, Berezgany, and Zarvanytsyu. Much impressions awarded the trip.
