Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology has good traditions of international activity and significant experience of holding symposia, conferences, organizing distance lectures, conducting joint research with foreign institutions, launching joint educational programs with a wide geography of projects.
During the existence of the faculty, international symposia and conferences were held on such topics as "Social Development in Ukraine", "Women and the XXI Century", "Young People and the Future", "Palliative Care", "People with Special Needs", "Music therapy "and others. Faculty members and students participated in cross-cultural research on gender-role stereotypes (Trinity Western University, Canada), on the integration of young people with disabilities into society (Magdeburg-Stendhal University, Germany), on the needs of the elderly (University of Maryland, USA), research on mental health and the impact of trauma (Johns Hopkins University, USA) and others.
Our professors and students take an active part in international cooperation, in academic exchange programs, speak at international scientific conferences and symposia, publish their scientific papers in international journals, and win international competitions and contests.
Foreign scholars and practitioners are actively involved in the academic process at the SPP Faculty for lecturing and teaching courses.
Many years of fruitful cooperation have developed with professionals of different countries: Professors Otto Driedger and Florence Driedger (Canada), Professor Dr. Wolf Bloemers, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Wolf, Fritz Wisch, Prof. Thomas Wosch, Dr. Hans-Dieter Dammering (Germany), Roger Quintens (Netherlands), Prof. Fernanda Rodrigues, António Magalhães, (Portugal), Åse-Britt Falch, Bengt Eriksson (Sweden), Professor Ion Dafinoiu (Romania).
The SPP Faculty has Agreements on cooperation with educational institutions of Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
In recent years, the geography of international relations of the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology has significantly expanded and now includes the following countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Canada, China, Germany, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, the United States and others.
Prospects for the development of international work are: concluding agreements on cooperation with foreign universities for the participation of students in double degree programs, international conferences and round tables, internships; engaging foreign students.
