Scietific research work at the Chair of Landscape Design and Genetics is carried out in the direction of "Genetic and physiological-biochemical bases of management of productive processes of agricultural and ornamental plants."
Achievements of scientists of the department will allow to use differentiated approaches to selection work and various technological schemes of crop productivity management in the steppe zone of Ukraine, which will increase the yield and competitiveness of agricultural products of our country. The department also has a Scientific School "Genetics and Plant Breeding" (headed by Dr. Of Biological Sciences, Prof. Lyakh. V.O.). The scientific school was registered in 2017. The qualitative composition of the scientific school: doctors of sciences - 2, Phd, candidates of sciences - 15. According to the results of the scientific school 16 candidate (PhD) and 1 doctoral dissertation were defended. Research direction and interest: creation of new varieties within the framework of genetic and physiological-biochemical management of productive processes of agricultural and ornamental plants. Main achievements: received 16 patents and certificates for new plant samples, published 9 articles included in the scientometric database SCOPUS and Web of Science.
