Strategic directions of scientific researches of doctoral, PhD and master’s theses, individual and group researches, articles etc. at the Department of International Economics, Natural Resources and Economic Theory are the following:
- Diversification of Innovative Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex in the Context of Globalization Challenges.
- World Problems of Diversification of the Sources of Energy Generation and Supply of Energy Resources.
- International Integration and Development of Tourism (Historical and Cultural, Recreational, Health, Environmental and Industrial).
- Modernization of the Economy through Development of Industrial and Social Infrastructure.
The results of the department’s scientific researches are used while writing monographs, scientific articles, abstracts, reports, during lectures of disciplines and providing practical recommendations to enterprises of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In order to develop skills of critical assessment of modern economic processes and phenomena for the student community of international economists, the department organizes scientific debates and battles for talented students, involving both science and business circles.
Lecturers of the department are constantly improving their skills and have international experience of internships at the EU and the USA universities.
The department has extensive experience in conducting research aimed at both the development of basic science and the application of its results in practice.
New results from basic research of the department are aimed at the sustainable development of economic systems, land management and land market, natural resource’s efficient consumption, structural changes in socio-economic systems, innovative development of Ukrainian enterprises, public and private partnership.
The results of scientific activity are regularly published in scientific journals and tested at scientific conferences, are used to prepare new monographs and lectures. The personnel of the department take an active part in the organization of international scientific conferences, scientific-practical conferences, round tables, both at the level of university and at the national level in order to test the results of scientific research.
The department organizes international collaboration, in particular to train lecturers and postgraduates in related universities abroad, joint work on the grants implementation.
One of the most important component of the department activity is the search for new and distribution of existing forms of education and research work of students and postgraduates. These forms of scientific activity include students participation in the implementation of scientific developments, conduction of independent research, writing research papers, reports at scientific conferences and participation in discussions, activation of innovation and investment activities at enterprises in Zaporizhzhia.
According to the results of research, students prepare papers for the competitions of scientific works, department holds scientific-practical seminars, exemplary suppositions of students are published in collections of scientific works.
The department conducts work on the opportunities for students to participate in the summer language school and internships at foreign partner universities.
Students scientific works of have been awarded with awards of national and regional competitions of scientific works.
Over the last 5 years, the teaching staff of the department have published more than 50 articles in professional and international publications and participated in a number of International and All-Ukrainian conferences The staff collections of articles are included in the international database: SCOPUS, WoS, Copernicus.
