Faculty of Journalism - it is the faculty, where are coming to study dreamy romanticists and graduated professional journalists, advertisers, editors. It is no coincidence, here is the epicenter of students' activism. Much attention is paid to the development of student self-government. Faculty Students' Council works under the slogan "With you and for you". Twice, faculty students were occupied the post of the Head of Students' Council of ZNU — Andriy Bondarenko (2011-2013) and Anton Osadchyk (2013).
Activists of Students' Council initiate leisure and creative projects - organize professional meetings, parties, flashmobs, musical breaks and literary evenings. Every year freshmen of the faculty with the support of senior students perform brilliantly at the university contests "Let me introduce myself", "Students' Spring", getting prize places and recognition of the university.
At the Faculty established a literary club "Intonation" - discussion club, that has its own team of Club of the witty and creative, printed and published their own network editions. As a part of the creative association "RE: kreatsiyi" (recreations) holds master-classes and training by the graduates of the faculty who have achieved professional success in their native city and the capital. Students-journalists constantly attached to social actions in their own educational institution and in the city. The activists of Students' Council attending educational institutions for orphaned children, arrange for them charitable concerts and entertainment programs.

The Faculty and the University leadership supports the best students' initiative. Thus, in 2012 was launched All-Ukrainian media festival in ZNU. In the spring 2013, initiated by the students-advertisers held Ukrainian Youth Festival of Advertising «Granart», which gathered at the Faculty creative youth from all regions of Ukraine.
