In 2016, the Zaporizhia National University initiated the training of future bachelors in design at the Department of Performing Arts and Design. From February 1, 2021, after the structural reorganization, the Department of Design was established as an independent structural unit of the university (Order No. 488 dated November 19, 2020). In the 2022-2023 academic year, the full-time staff of the department includes 10 lecturers (3 associate professors, 3 senior lecturers and 4 lecturers), among them: 1 candidate of pedagogical sciences, 1 philosophy doctor of in the field of pedagogy, 1 Honored Artist of Ukraine. All lecturers of the department, who provide the educational process, are members of professional creative unions, such as: Designer’s Union of Ukraine, National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Union of Advertisers of Ukraine and are active practitioners in the field of design.
