In 2020, the department's lecturerAnna Vinogradovapassedinternational internship at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts (Budapest), where she gained experience in teaching and organizing the educational space and learning process for students studying art, in particular graphic design.

In 2020, the department's lecturersAnna Brsantseva, Alexander Brsantsev, Hanna Chemerys, Anna VinogradovaandVeronika Silogaeva completed an international internship in educational management.

For representatives of the Department of Design, international internships are organized at the Baltic International Academy Design School within the framework of the concluded agreement. In particular, international advanced training of scientific and pedagogical staff on the professional module on the topic "Theoretical and Methodological Principles of Teaching Design Software for the Digital Environment in Modern Design Education" ("Theoretical and Methodological Principles of Teaching Design Software for the Digital Environment in Modern Design Education") in 2021 passed H. Chemerys, and in 2025 V. Barabash, O. Brsantsev and A. Dymova; scientific and pedagogical internship on the topic "European Creative Studies: Theoretical and Methodological Principles in Modern Design-Education" in 2022 passed I. Gresyk, and in 2025 A. Rashevska.

Also, in order to improve their skills, the department staff took part in the work of Autumn School "Cultural and Media Policy of the European Union", which was held within the framework of the implementation of the Erasmus+ project of the Jean Monnet Department "Social and Cultural Aspects of European Studies" (SCAES).

In 2023, H. Chemerys became the laureate of the non-resident scholarship competition«2023 CEFRES Non-Residential Fellowships for Ukrainian Scholars in Humanities and Social Sciences»and part of the CEFRES team with the status of an associate researcher, which was held with the assistance of the French Center for Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences (CEFRES), as well as institutions united by the CEFRES platform (Czech Republic-France), the Czech Academy of Sciences and Charles University in Prague to carry out research work on the topic "Development of Methodology of Critical Thinking and Pedagogical Support to Counteract Disinformation and Manipulation of Artificially Reproduced Media Content."

In 2024, H. Chemerys is the laureate of the residency scholarship competition«2024 CEFRES Residential Fellowships for Ukrainian Researchers in Humanities and Social Sciences»and received grant from the French Research Center for Humanities and Social Sciences to conduct research at CEFRES, with the conclusion contract with the French Institute in Ukraine for carrying out research work on the topic "Visual Narratives, Commemoration of War and Graphic Representation of National Identity: Comparative Analysis of Ukrainian and European Contexts" and further research trip to the CEFRES center.

In 2025, H. Chemerys received the status Visiting Researcher at Indiana University (USA) under the Nonresidential Scholars Program for Ukraine with the support of the Big Ten Academic Alliance to carry out research work on the topic "Researching US Practices of Inclusive Design for the Development of Design Education in Ukraine", whose mentor will be the director of the HCI/d program, K. Gray. As part of the study, a report was made on Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian Studies Conference at Indiana University and the results of the study are presented.

To participate in the "ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods" within the framework of the ICPSR Summer Program, organized by the University of Michigan (USA), the Institute for Social Research and the Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research in 2024, H. Chemerys was selected, and in 2025 — M. Kardashov.

In 2025 H. Chemerys was selected to participate in the Davis Center program at Harvard University.

In 2025, H. Chemerys, as part of the ZNU team, will participate in The Academic Managers Professional Development Program is a unique initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, implemented by the British Council within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the World Bank Ukraine "Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results."
