Members of the Department of Design are among the tireless participants in the volunteer movement, giving their time and energy every day to bring the Victory closer. Thus, students and academic staff of the Design Department are involved in the Creative Forces of Ukraine. Iryna Hresyk, Associate Professor of the Design Department, has been weaving camouflage nets since the first days of the war together with other artists, professors and staff of the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
Faculty members of the department conduct educational and methodological trainings and seminars. For example, the Department's academic staff, Associate Professor Hanna Briantseva and Senior Lecturer Oleksandr Briantsev, conduct numerous master classes, including a series of training sessions for teachers of secondary schools, a master class for children held as part of the Library Festival dedicated to Children's Day, and a master class "Flower Blizzard" on the popular Tenerife technique for adults and children from families with IDP status.
Lecturer Kateryna Tarlinska held drawing workshops for residents of Zaporizhzhia, and is also involved in an to create murals in a military hospital, about which she spoke in an interview.
Lecturer Vadym Mitkov creates art objects from missile fragments to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was featured on national TV channels (Zaporizhzhia TV channel "Alex.Ua", ”ICTV” and "Suspilne.news"). An exhibition of these art objects was also held at the Zaporizhzhia Art Museum.
